56 Wanderer 火山旅

56 Wanderer ç«å±±æ—…

A scenic coastal road winding along rocky cliffs with a stunning ocean view under a partly cloudy sky.

旅:å°äº¨ï¼Œæ—…è´žå‰Â  Wanderer: For small benefits, the traveler needs to cultivate good deeds to be lucky.

《Tuan-Commentary on the Judgment》:Wander, small benefit.  Softly approaching the outsider, and following the right path of heart and spirit, even though it is a small gain, is the path of luck. Like the bright sun shining through, this is the true essence of the path of the wanderer.

《Xian-Overall Image》: Fire on top of the mountain, symbolized by the hexagram. A king must exercise caution when imposing harsh punishments or jail sentences.

ç«Fire on top of the å±±mountain, and it is like a campfire that people set up during a trip, or fire burning within the mountain continues relentlessly, spreading forward without stopping. This hexagram is named Wanderer, and it is about traveling and adventure.

The hexagram Travel (æ—…å¦) speaks of the principle of seeking stability while wandering, advising people: “When away from home, adhere steadfastly to the right path, with gentleness and flexibility as your foundation. Take care to manage your possessions well, and maintain good relationships with neighbors and friends, in exchange for a peaceful life. When external circumstances change, be prepared to adapt accordingly.”

The six lines of this hexagram talk about what a person could face in good or bad situations during travel. Especially line three, the top Yang line of the lower trigram, placed at the peak of a mountain, signifies a state of being overly proud, excessively rigid, and unable to follow the middle path, this could lead to danger.

There is another interesting aspect of the hexagram, which is the top 6 line, who is not happy after a long journey, it is not fulfilled within and does not feel at home.  Therefore, cultivating inner peace is very important in life. Our soul’s journey to earth is like this hexagram, eventually, we all want to go home. So where is your home?
