The Space Between You

First, let’s talk about space.
Space usually has distance and dimensions. It can take any form—a vacuum, an empty room, the distance between stars in the cosmos, the space between two people standing in a room, or even the mental and emotional boundaries within a human being.
What does space do, and does it serve a function?
One of the most important functions of space is to create distance and separation that prevent objects from colliding with one another. Consider the Earth and the Moon, or the Earth and the Sun. Space allows them to coexist in a delicate balance.
The Earth has its own gravitational force, and so does the Moon. Their relationship depends on a precise distance and trajectory. If that balance did not exist, they would either drift apart or collide. It is the space between them that allows them to remain in motion while maintaining harmony.
From the relationship between the Earth and the Moon, we can deduce that the space between two objects is not truly empty. It is filled with something. We may call it energy—whether gravitational force, dark matter, air, or something we do not yet fully understand.
The same can be said about the mental and emotional space within a human being. It is not empty. It is filled with energy.
Are you aware of your space?
Not just your physical space, but your internal space as well.
Is the space around you protecting your energy, or is it slowly depleting and draining you?
Take a look at your room. Is it filled with things that serve you, or is it overcrowded with things demanding your attention? Does your environment allow you to breathe freely, or does it constantly remind you of unfinished tasks?
Now look inward.
Are your thoughts clear, or are they crowded with mental noise? Have you created healthy space between yourself and the people in your life? Do your relationships allow room for balance, growth, and individuality?
Or are you constantly pleasing others while neglecting your own needs?
Perhaps the quality of our lives is not determined by how much we have, but by the space we create between the things that compete for our attention, our energy, and our peace.
The space between you and everything else may be invisible, but it shapes the way you live.
